As someone who suffers from Acid Reflux and who use to be on Prevacid, your best bet is to just stay away from the foods that cause Acid Reflux and to drink alot of water. I no longer take medication and I havent had any issues in a long time.

I don’t know what that one is, but for some people, taking extra magnesium regularly does the trick. If you are low in magnesium, those muscles can’t tighten properly and you get reflux. This cures for about 20% of the people who have reflux, and it worked for me. For some people, taking a multivitamin isn’t enough. Some of us require extra magnesium. It takes a few weeks to notice the difference. If you have to continue to take Tagamet (or some other medication) during that time, take the magnesium at least a few hours prior.
This remedy cures about one in five people of the reflux, but it doesn’t effect any tissue damage that’s already occurred. If you have esophageal scars, you may have to have that lasered out. There’s also a new medication (don’t know what it is) that is supposed to help heal some kinds of damage. (If you don’t take care of the reflux, though, the damage will recur.)

Sorry, I haven’t. But I did have pretty consistent and persistent Acid Reflux at one time. The one thing that helped immensely, and continues to help (thankfully), was adding probiotics and digestive enzymes to my day. Pro - once daily, enzymes with each meal. Even drinking plenty of water didn’t make a difference. I was having to drink a glass of milk every night before bed so I could get to sleep. The probiotics and enzymes were for something else, but I love what they did for the Acid Reflux!

I used to suffer with this almost every day - but I’m not big on drugs or anything, so I just tried to avoid foods that sparked the pain.
For a nutritional value only, I started drinking Himalayan Goji Juice on a daily basis. After about 4 days, quite by accident, I suddenly noticed that my heartburn/Acid Reflux was GONE. I’ve been drinking this for five months now, and can count on one hand how many times the pain has returned since (exluding my thumb).
I am much happier, eating those ‘bad’ foods again, and enjoying life!
Hope this helps - it worked for me!
