Keep trying different acid reducers. The only one that works for me is rantidine. Spicy foods and pop make it worse, so cut back if you need to.

  2. pepto bismol

Small freq meals. Sit upright (or standing) for 3 h after meals.. Lose wt. (if that’s part of problem) Avoid evening snacks, carbonated beverages and acidic fluids.

  4. I take zantax. also it could be what you are eating or drinking.stay away from caffeine and alcohol.

  5. Have you tried Prilosec?

Or you could try papaya enzyme pills: Those should be available at a local health food or nutrition store.

And try eating small meals throughout the day, instead of two or three large ones.

    Good luck!

Doctor told me the top 3 things to avoid are:
    alcohol
    tobacco
    caffeine

As has been mentioned, small, frequent meals are better. Lose weight (if you’re overweight). Spicy foods tend to aggravate this. Don’t expect to stop Acid Reflux by taking medicine alone. Lifestyle and diet changes are almost always necessary!

You should talk to your GP about this if you haven’t already. Prolonged untreated Acid Reflux (heartburn) can lead to other things. One study found that people who have frequent heartburn also have a 10% increased chance of developing esophogeal cancer.
